Job summary

AS Contracting Co. is seeking a Documentation Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical) for a project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The role focuses on managing all project documentation, both electronic and hardcopy, and ensuring compliance with established procedures. The position involves guiding the project team on documentation principles, maintaining document control, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data flow; experience with document management systems

Qualifications

• Experience in documentation management and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with document control processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle project documentation both in electronic and hardcopy format, throughout the project lifecycle in a standardized manner.
• Provide guidance to the project team on documentation management principles
• Enforce document management discipline, as required by the applicable system and/or project procedures
• Ensure the input data for project registers is received through formal channels, data is recorded in these registers and communicated to the project team whenever there are updates;
• Cooperate with the project management and administration team in order to correctly identify documents received from the client;
• Clarify with the Client the status of client sent/received documents;
• Transmit the project documentation to all project stakeholders via officially approved channels as per the project communication plan and performs all tasks associated with this process;
• Prepare the project documentation for the archiving process in accordance with standard procedure;
• Designing templates for documents, file types, and document databases.
• Checking and editing documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Controlling the flow of documents in and out of the department.
• Maintaining the security of confidential documents.
• Assisting employees with accessing documents through our document management system.
