Job summary

Freshworks is seeking a Director of Procurement Operations to lead a scalable procurement function including Purchasing, Vendor Management, and Procurement Systems. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on process optimization to strengthen P2P execution and supplier partnerships.

You will mentor a team, implement tools, define metrics, and collaborate with IT to deploy solutions, ensuring compliant, efficient purchasing that aligns with Freshworks' growth and customer experience

Qualifications

• 10+ years in operations, procurement or supply chain.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience establishing work processes, quality, productivity standards and policies/procedures in procurement.
• Experience and understanding of the full P2P processes.
• Knowledge of procurement tools and processes.
• Ability to show strong communication and collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all operational functions for the Procurement team at Freshworks.
• Lead all activities related to Procurement tool implementation, maintenance, and improvements.
• Manage the P2P process including vendor management, buying and delivery of goods.
• Stay up to date with the current Procurement tools and P2P processes.
• Knowledge and understanding of Freshworks procedures to continue developing scalable and mature purchasing process and principles.
• Design processes to support future buying needs. Identify opportunities to centralize and standardize processes.
• Define requirements for systems to support the procurement process and operations. Collaborate with IT teams to manage, test and launch solutions.
• Identify measurable procurement metrics and solutions.

Job Description

Freshworks is looking for a Director of Procurement Operations to join in helping transform the Procurement team. This person will be responsible for leading and developing a scalable operational team that includes the following functions: Purchasing (Buyers), Vendor Management, and Procurement Systems. The Purchasing function manages the buying process from purchase requisition to purchase order. The Vendor Management function supports supplier onboarding, contract routing and triaging of purchase requests. The Procurement Systems function manages the tools for the team, including implementation, training, allocation and improvements. As a working manager, the Procurement Operations leader should have a strong understanding of these functions and be able to collaborate well with cross functional teams at Freshworks.

The annualbase salary rangefor this position is $235,000 - $290,000 Base Salary.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available.
