Works closely with: Content Creator (TikTok & Short-Form), Social Media Coordinator, Product Marketing team
Type: Full-time
The Video Editor turns raw footage filmed by our UK Content Creator into finished, platform-native short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Pinterest. You will be the engine behind our always-on video output, helping us move from polished studio photography to fast, authentic content that feels at home in the feed.
The UK team films; you edit, finish and repurpose, so every piece of footage works as hard as possible across organic social, TikTok Shop and paid media. This is a hands-on, high-volume role for someone who lives and breathes short-form video, understands what makes people stop scrolling, and takes real care over detail.
Edit raw footage into finished short-form videos to agreed briefs and turnaround times, including same-day or next-day turnaround for trend-led content.
Build strong hooks into the first few seconds and keep pacing native to each platform.
Add captions and subtitles, on-screen text, transitions, sound design and music, following our brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Use commercially licensed audio only (such as TikTok's Commercial Music Library) so all brand content is safe to post and promote.
Resize and reformat each video for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Stories, Pinterest and paid placements.
Cut longer content, such as TikTok LIVE sessions, events and creator videos, into short clips.
Create variations of high-performing videos (different hooks, lengths, captions and calls to action) for paid testing, working with the Performance Manager.
Produce product showcase and unboxing videos for TikTok Shop listings and shoppable posts.
Edit approved influencer and affiliate content into organic posts and ads, where usage rights allow.
Check every video before handover: product names, prices, offers and personalised names must be spelled and shown correctly.
Follow our guidelines on featuring children, including what personal details can and cannot appear on screen.
Maintain editing templates (caption styles, intros, outros, lower thirds) so our content looks consistent across channels.
Keep raw footage and finished files organised in our shared library, with clear naming and version control.
Track editing requests and deadlines in our project management tool so the UK team always knows what's in progress.
Keep up with TikTok and Reels editing trends, formats and audio, and suggest ideas to the Content Creator and Social Media Manager.
Use AI tools (auto-captioning, background removal, clip selection) to work faster, with a human quality check on everything.
At least two years' experience editing short-form social video, with a portfolio of TikTok and Reels content that shows strong hooks and engagement.
Confident in CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects or DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
A strong feel for TikTok and Reels pacing, trends, captions and audio.
Excellent written English and close attention to detail, especially spelling, since our products carry customers' names.
Comfortable working async with a UK-based manager and team across time zones, with clear updates on progress.
A reliable home or office set-up with the internet speed to transfer large video files.
Basic Canva skills for thumbnails and simple graphics.
Experience with lifestyle, ecommerce, baby, gifting or beauty brands is a plus, as is an understanding of UK audiences.
