Job summary

Asiatic Medical Laboraties Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and specialized X-ray procedures according to physician orders.

You will position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images, verify patient identity, and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety while minimizing exposure. You will review images for quality, maintain QC logs, and uphold ALARA and FDA-CDDRHR safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic X-ray procedures according to clinical protocols and physician orders.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing exposure and discomfort.
• Process, review, and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and completeness prior to sending them to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Verify patient identity using standard protocol and confirm physician orders/clinical indications prior to procedure.
• Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients to alleviate anxiety and secure cooperation.
• Provide appropriate radiation shielding (lead aprons, thyroid collars, gonadal shields) to patients when applicable.
• Strictly adhere to the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle to ensure minimal radiation dose to patients, staff, and the public.
• Comply with radiation safety standards and directives issued by the FDA-CDDRHR (Center for Device Regulation, Radiation Health, and Research).
• Conduct daily quality control (QC) checks on imaging equipment and maintain operational logs.
