About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the client's internal developer platform, which allows development teams to independently and efficiently build, release, and operate applications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines that support efficient code testing and deployment.
- Improve the Developer Experience (DevEx) by bringing tools, documentation, and access together within a centralized portal to minimize cognitive load.
- Maintain Golden Paths that provide developers with standardized, self-service workflows aligned with deployment and management best practices.
- Serve as an escalation point for user support, taking ownership of investigations, troubleshooting activities, and systems administration.
- Lead efforts involving documentation, reporting, data analysis, and automation.
- Partner with developers, SREs, and platform teams to enhance deployment speed, system reliability, and operational excellence.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal developer platforms and services, contributing to operational strategies and objectives.
- Lead engineering projects and programs focused on advancing technical excellence.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of practical experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices and supporting production environments across public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with the following DevOps technologies:
- AWS: Practical experience with core AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, AuroraDB, and CloudWatch.
- Git: Advanced knowledge of Git workflows, including branching approaches, pull requests, and code reviews.
- GitOps: Practical experience managing configuration as code and environment promotion approaches.
- CI/CD: Experience building and maintaining pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, FluxCD, or equivalent technologies, including automated testing, artifact versioning, container image management, and deployment automation.
- Development Collaboration: Experience partnering closely with development teams building applications using Kotlin, Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including guiding peers, facilitating technical conversations, and positively influencing engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes, including cluster operations, Helm deployments, and troubleshooting pod or networking issues.
- Familiarity with build and packaging technologies such as Maven or Gradle.
- Practical experience using Datadog, including metrics, logs, and traces, for monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- CKA, CKAD, AWS Associate, AWS Professional, or equivalent certifications.
Work Setup
- Full-time, onsite
- Rotational shift schedule with monthly rotation across morning, afternoon, and night shifts
- Hybrid work flexibility available on select weekends and holidays, subject to company policies
- Additional remote work privileges may be granted based on performance and internal eligibility requirements
- Participation in an on-call support rotation may be required depending on operational needs.
