Job summary

AMCS Group is hiring a Platform Engineer to manage the Azure Databricks platform, infrastructure, and governance. You will ensure security by design and deliver platform capability as code so teams can run data and AI workloads safely on top of it.

You will provision Databricks workspaces, administer Unity Catalog, and build the CI/CD pipeline for Databricks assets while collaborating with data engineering and analytics teams to optimize costs and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Databricks workspaces in production — cluster policies, SQL warehouses, workspace-level security.
• Experience with Unity Catalog governance or equivalent data catalog.
• IaC experience (Terraform and/or Bicep) provisioning cloud data platform resources.
• Experience with Databricks Workflows/Lakeflow Jobs, including multi-task job dependency design.
• Familiarity with Git-based CI/CD and deploying Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Strong security fundamentals: Entra ID/Azure AD, secrets management, network isolation.
• Ability to use cost/usage data to right-size compute.
