Job summary

Menzi and Co. Inc. in Makati City, Metro Manila, seeks a dedicated Accountant to join our finance team on a full-time basis. You will maintain financial records, perform journal entries, reconciliations, and assist in preparing financial statements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, CPA certification, and solid experience with accounting software and Excel, with strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS or local equivalents).
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional certification such as CPA is a must.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and regulatory requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and general accounts.
• Recording and reconciling financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
• Conducting account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting the audit process by providing documentation and explanations as required.
• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintaining organized financial documentation and filing systems.
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve financial queries and issues.
