Job summary

WSP in the Philippines is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to lead Fire Protection design for diverse building projects. The role requires hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit, plus strong coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.

The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years in a similar capacity, with RME being a plus. Growth opportunities exist within WSP’s global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is a plus.
• Knowledge in Wet and Dry System.
• Autocad and Revit experience is a MUST.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection services for buildings and associated systems.
• Manage and maintain drawings records per QA procedures.
• Liaise with WSP personnel, partners, and clients (local and foreign).
• Coordinate with other disciplines of the design team.
• Manage outputs in line with the design work program.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Carry out tasks assigned by management.
• Exhibit professional behavior as a member of WSP.
• Assist in training and development of subordinates.
• Assist in multidisciplinary project activities.
• Use Fire Protection software and 3D modelling to develop designs.
• Other duties as required by management.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the Design of Fire Protection services of any building types or classes and all its associated systems of work.

• Manage and maintain the record of all incoming and outgoing drawings from the office in accordance with WSP QA procedures.

• Liaison with WSP personnel and WSP’s partners both local and foreign affiliates and clients.

• Liaise and coordinate with other disciplines of the design team

• Manage and control outputs in accordance with the design work program.

• Attend meeting when required.

• Carry out any assignments that will be given from time to time by the management.

• At all times exhibit behaviour, consistent with that of a professional member of WSP.

• Assist with the training and development of subordinates.

• Assist in multidisciplinary project activities.

• Use of Fire Protection software and 3D modelling to develop fire protection system designs.

• Other duties as required by management from time to time.

Experience, Capabilities & Competencies:

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
