Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in dental insurance verification.
• Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, billing codes, and benefit details.
• Proficiency with EHR/PMS systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and verification tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience managing PPO and Medicaid/Medicare dental claims.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work with multiple web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits for patients.
• Confirm patient coverage, deductibles, co-pays, and waiting periods.
• Input and update verified insurance details into the practice management system accurately.
• Ensure all insurance information is up-to-date before patient visits to avoid delays in billing and treatment.
• Make outbound calls to insurance carriers to clarify and confirm patient coverage.
• Collaborate with the front desk and billing teams to resolve discrepancies in insurance information.
