• Assist during medical and dental emergencies.

Job description

• To assist dentist in clinical procedures
• To make patients as comfortable as possible within the clinic premises. To offer refreshments, magazines, movie or music selection while waiting in the room; to adjust the head support and inclination of the dental chair
• To familiarize and prepare the instruments/materials/equipment needed for every procedure, be it general procedures or surgeries
• Wash, pack, and perform the three-step sterilization process of the instruments
• Pack and sterilize drapes/towels needed in the surgery
• Take and organize the photos and radiographs
• Send the radiographs/photos to the patient’s email within 24 hours
• Lubricating the handpieces at the end of the day
• Organization of dental instruments and dental materials to its designated cabinet/drawers; to be done on a daily basis
• Refilling of stocks/consumables per room (bib, tissue, plastic cups, gloves, etc)
• Gearing up and down of rooms before and after each patients, respectively
• Inventory of supplies
• Laboratory coordination and organization of dental cases
• Monitoring of equipment if due for maintenance check-up or repair
• To secure patient’s vital signs prior to surgery. To double check if clearances are secured and consent forms are signed
• To assist the surgeon during medical and dental emergencies
• Laboratory coordination and organization of dental cases
