M Dental Clinic in the Philippines seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure smooth clinic operations.
You will assist during procedures, manage patient records, explain treatments, handle scheduling, and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards.
Dental Assistant supports dentists and hygienists during dental procedures, ensures the smooth operation of the dental office, and provides quality patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection-control protocols.
Clinical Support
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Hand instruments, mix materials, and take impressions when required.
Capture and process dental X-rays (digital or film), following safety and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories.
Patient Care
Welcome patients, explain procedures, and help ensure comfort throughout appointments.
Provide postoperative instructions and oral hygiene guidance.
Assist patients with scheduling follow-up appointments and answering basic treatment questions.
Office & Administrative Tasks
Manage patient scheduling, check-ins, and check-outs.
Handle billing, insurance claims, and payment processing (depending on office needs).
Maintain dental supply inventory and place orders as needed.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.
State certification or licensure (such as RDA, CDA, EFDA) depending on local requirements.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, instruments, and safety protocols.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
Competence with dental software systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.).
