1. Chairside Assistance
- Assist the dentist during cosmetic, periodontal, and general dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms before procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready.
- Hand instruments, suction devices, and materials to the dentist as needed.
- Anticipate the dentist’s needs to improve efficiency during procedures.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during treatments.
2. Sterilization & Infection Control
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments following strict protocols.
- Set up and maintain sterile work environments.
- Dispose of biohazard waste according to clinic and health regulations.
3. Patient Care & Education
- Greet and prepare patients before treatment.
- Explain post-procedure care and assist in answering patient concerns.
- Provide instructions on proper oral hygiene and prosthesis maintenance.
4. Inventory & Supplies Management
- Monitor and restock dental consumables and instruments.
- Report low stock levels to management to avoid supply shortages.
Education & Experience:
- With or without experience (training will be provided).
- A diploma or certification in Dental Assisting, Dental Technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in 3D printing, scanning, or CAD/CAM software is an advantage but not required.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures.
- Willingness to learn digital dentistry tools (3D scanning, printing, and CAD software).
- Ability to handle sterilization protocols and infection control.
- Strong organizational skills for handling inventory and patient records.
Soft Skills & Professional Qualities:
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong ability to multitask and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills for both patient interaction and lab coordination.
- Willing to learn and adapt to new dental technologies.
