Job summary

The Moment Group in Makati City is seeking a Database Administrator to join our growing technology team. This full-time role focuses on managing, maintaining and optimizing our database infrastructure to ensure performance, security and availability across production and non-production environments.

You will install, configure, monitor and back up databases, implement disaster recovery, manage access controls and support applications with developers and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role with at least 3 years hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Proficiency in SQL and database query optimisation techniques.

About the role

The Moment Group is seeking a Database Administrator to join our growing technology team. This is a full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and optimising our database infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security and availability. As a Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the technical operations of The Moment Group and ensuring our systems remain reliable and secure for all users.

What you’ll be doing

• Install, configure and maintain database management systems across production and non-production environments
• Monitor database performance and implement optimisation strategies to ensure system efficiency and responsiveness
• Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data
• Manage user access controls and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive information
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance degradation and system failures
• Apply patches, updates and security fixes to maintain system integrity and compliance
• Document database configurations, procedures and changes for audit and compliance purposes
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployments and integrations
• Monitor storage capacity and manage database growth to ensure scalability
• Participate in capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of relational database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Proficiency in SQL and database query optimisation techniques

• Relevant certifications such as OCP (Oracle Certified Associate), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) or similar qualifications are preferred
