Job summary

PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies in Makati seeks a Database Administrator to safeguard and optimize bank data assets. You will manage access controls, encryption, and monitor systems while supporting migration and integration projects.

The ideal candidate has a computer-related or engineering degree and at least two years in data administration within financial services, with strong knowledge of database standards and applications.

• Knowledgeable on Database Standards and Applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain access control, data encryption, and monitor database activity for breaches.
• Support disaster recovery plans to protect bank data during failures or emergencies.
• Participate in data migration and integration projects for new bank systems.
• Distribute data to the right user in the appropriate format on request.
• Respond to database incidents and escalate complex concerns to seniors.
• Stay updated on database administration best practices to support operations.

• Supports the disaster recovery plans to protect the bank's data in case of hardware failures, human errors, or other emergencies
• Participates in data migration and integration projects for new bank systems or upgrades
• Distributes data to the right user, in appropriate format and request
• Addresses and responds to database-related incidents and escalates complex concerns to Superior
• Keeps abreast of the current trend and best practices in database administration to maintain consistency and efficiency in supporting the business operations

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of Computer-related, Engineering or Math-related courses
• With at least two (2) years of work-related experience in data administration preferably from a bank or financial services industry
• Knowledgeable on Database Standards and Applications
• Amenable to work in Makati
