ERNI is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and implement advanced analytics, including ML models and Generative AI, across business domains. You will combine data science, engineering, and visualization to deliver actionable insights and support modernization of financial projection platforms on Azure.

You will collaborate with global teams, build scalable data pipelines, and present findings to executives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or another related discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in data science, advanced analytics, or a closely related role.
• Hands-on experience designing or implementing machine learning solutions.
• Strong experience in statistical analysis and statistical modeling.
• Practical experience with Generative AI applications or solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Experience creating dashboards, analytical reports, or interactive visualizations using Power BI.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to perform data validation and implement data quality checks.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong data storytelling skills, including the ability to communicate complex findings to business stakeholders and senior executives.
• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed and culturally diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or other advanced qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, cloud technologies, or analytics.
• Experience modernizing legacy analytical models implemented through Excel formulas or VBA.
• Experience working with financial projections, financial modeling, treasury data, balance sheet analytics, income projections, key financial ratios, or similar quantitative domains.
• Experience working with the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem.

How can you contribute to the team

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will design and implement advanced analytics solutions, including machine learning models and Generative AI applications. The role combines data science, data engineering, statistical analysis, and data visualization to help stakeholders generate actionable insights and make data-driven decisions. The successful candidate will contribute to the modernization of a bank-wide financial projection platform. The initiative involves transforming existing Excel, VBA, and Oracle-based processes into a scalable architecture built on the Azure data ecosystem and customized Python solutions.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, evaluate, and maintain machine learning models that address defined business and analytical requirements.
• Design and implement Generative AI applications for appropriate enterprise use cases.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and statistical modeling to identify patterns, relationships, risks, and actionable insights.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Build, maintain, and improve scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Support the migration of financial projection logic currently implemented through Excel formulas and VBA into maintainable Python solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems through automated interface jobs.
• Support the modernization and enhancement of existing data marts to accommodate projection results, assumptions, and related analytical information.
• Help enable parallel computation of financial projection scenarios.
• Create interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
• Work with business stakeholders, data analysts, analytics engineers, and other technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, analytical reports, insights, and recommendations.
• Participate actively in Agile activities and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
• Communicate analytical concepts and results effectively to senior executives and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Keep current with relevant developments in machine learning, Generative AI, analytics engineering, cloud data platforms, and data visualization.
• Perform other relevant responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or designated project stakeholders.
