Job summary
QBE Insurance seeks a Data and Reporting Engineer to collect, transform, and store data from diverse sources, ensuring quality and governance. You will create complex reports and dashboards for stakeholders, automate reporting tasks, and consolidate outputs across the function. You will work with onshore teams on project-driven initiatives.
The role emphasizes data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing, using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and scripting to enable data-driven decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
- 7+ years in SAS/SQL, BI reporting, and automation.
- Insurance/financial services experience preferred.
- Strong data engineering fundamentals and data governance.
- Excellent stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources.
- Design and maintain data warehouses or data lakes.
- Develop automated data processing and reporting tasks.
- Create dashboards with Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Collaborate with onshore stakeholders and AO units.
- Monitor performance and optimize queries.
- Lead Agile reporting projects.
