Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Cebu, Philippines is seeking a Data Protection Analyst to protect sensitive data and support compliance initiatives. The role focuses on Microsoft Purview, DLP, labeling, and risk reduction across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include monitoring alerts, policy tuning, and collaboration with IT, Security, Legal, and HR to strengthen data governance and security posture. A 2–5 year background in info security is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in information security, data protection, or compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar tools preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Monitor alerts and investigate potential data loss or misuse activities.
• Escalate high-risk incidents and support response efforts.
• Analyze user activity and data movement to identify potential risks.
• Assist in refining DLP and labeling policies to reduce false positives.
• Support classification initiatives across Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Assist in audit activities and maintain documentation for compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Legal, and HR on investigations.

The Data Protection Analyst will work hands-on with Microsoft Purview technologies to detect risks, investigate alerts, and strengthen data security across the enterprise.

Position Overview

The Data Protection Analyst is responsible for supporting the operation and optimization of the organization’s data protection controls using Microsoft Purview. This role focuses on monitoring, alert triage, policy tuning, and analysis of sensitive data handling to reduce risk and improve compliance posture.
