Data & Integration Team Lead
Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, encouraging applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 10AM to 6PM Manila time.
Employment type: Permanent.
Location: Makati City, Metro Manila.
Pay range: Php 104,000 to 142,000.
Responsibilities
- Technical & Platform Delivery – Lead the design, development, delivery, and support of scalable, reliable, and reusable data products, APIs, and integration solutions that ensure high-quality, secure, and well-governed data across platforms.
- Technical Leadership – Provide technical leadership by defining architecture, standards, and best practices for data, integration, and cloud platforms while driving innovation and communicating complex technical concepts effectively.
- People & Practice Management – Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams by mentoring colleagues, fostering continuous learning, and promoting engineering excellence aligned with our values and leadership standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership – Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic needs into valuable data and integration solutions, while driving adoption through collaboration, enablement, and continuous feedback.
- Risk & Compliance – Ensure data and integration solutions comply with security, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements while proactively managing risks to data quality, platform reliability, and third‑party integrations.
Qualifications
Essential
- University degree in Computer Science, Numerical or Technical subject, or other degrees combined with significant technical experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in data integration, data engineering, or BI development.
- Proven technical leadership and track record of designing and implementing high-quality data product solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and solution design.
- Practical experience with AWS Services.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Desirable
- Solid understanding of relational and non‑relational databases.
- Hands‑on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
- Understanding of integration technologies, APIs, and microservice design patterns.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, Java/Scala, or Python, and strong SQL capability.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data quality, and scalable data engineering principles.
- Experience with modern data engineering tools, platforms or technologies (e.g., Spark, Airflow, NiFi, Hadoop, Hive, ADF, dbt, Kafka, Fivetran).
- Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Experience with agile delivery practices.
- Awareness of data protection, secure access, and compliance standards.
- MuleSoft certifications (MCD1, MCD2, MCIA, MCPA), Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure), or any BI Platform Certifications are an advantage.
