Job summary

Baker McKenzie is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines that enable enterprise-wide data storage, processing, and analytics. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and executives to ensure data quality, security, and governance across sources and systems.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, Java/Python, and experience with Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, and Spark.

Qualifications

6+ years in data management disciplines incl. integration, modeling, quality.
Experience building data warehouses in big data solutions (Snowflake).
Proven ability to design, build, deploy data solutions for AI/ML/BI.

Responsibilities

Designs data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into storage systems.
Collaborates with data scientists and analysts to optimize models for data quality and governance.
Integrates data from databases, warehouses, APIs, and external systems.
Ensures data integrity, validation, and cleaning throughout pipelines.
Optimizes pipelines for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Monitors systems and tunes performance, implementing caching and indexing.
