Job summary

RELX International is seeking a data engineer to develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from GA4, paid media, social platforms, and other sources. You will build API and batch-ingestion workflows and integrate data into the AWS data lake.

The role requires AWS experience, SQL/Python skills, and the ability to work with global stakeholders. Collaboration with Sr. Engineers and analysts is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in data engineering or related roles.
• SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience developing or supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or another cloud-based data platform.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Familiarity with API ingestion, pagination, batch processing, incremental loading, and data validation.
• Familiarity with Git and deployment workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from GA4, paid media, social media, and other platforms.
• Build and support API and batch-ingestion workflows, including pagination, rate-limits, retries, and incremental loads.
• Integrate web traffic, campaign, engagement, and related data into the AWS data lake.
• Transform data into reusable datasets with standards for data types, normalization, deduplication, and validation.
• Monitor pipelines and troubleshoot data-quality, performance, schema, and processing issues.
• Implement data-quality checks and communicate failures, risks, and blockers.
