Job summary

Fluentgrid Limited is seeking a Database Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows. You will work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, and ClickHouse, developing SQL/PLSQL, procedures, and analytics-ready data models.

You will collaborate with product and business teams, implement Pentaho-based ETL workflows, and integrate data across HES/MDMS, billing, ERP, and IoT systems. Occasional travel onsite is required.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• ETL / Data Integration expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Pentaho.
• Experience with ClickHouse and/or other analytical databases.
• Knowledge of IBM DB2 and data warehousing concepts.
• Understanding of HES/MDMS and utility domain data.
• Exposure to Java and/or Python for data engineering.
• Familiar with cloud and IoT technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
• Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and performance-optimized database solutions.
• Work with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, and ClickHouse.
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Pentaho and other data integration technologies.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading from multiple source systems.
• Integrate data from HES, MDMS, billing systems, ERP systems, IoT platforms, and other utility applications.
• Collaborate with application, business, and product teams to understand data requirements and develop data solutions.
• Optimize database queries, ETL processes, and data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Support data migration, data quality, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop data solutions supporting analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and business intelligence use cases.
• Collaborate with development teams on integration using Java, Python, APIs, Cloud, and IoT technologies.
• Ensure data security, quality, availability, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and provide timely resolution.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, documentation, and implementation activities.
• Travel onsite on demand based on project requirements.
