Job summary

Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead cross-discipline construction activities for a Zaragoza site. You will own scope, schedule and budget, interface with general contractors, and drive efficient handovers and commissioning.

You will collaborate with teams across electrical, mechanical, and commissioning to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery of data centre projects. This role requires on-site leadership and deep construction knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• Experience managing construction contracts and vendor interactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects and manage scope, timeline, and budget.
• Interface with general contractors during bidding, award, and execution.
• Coordinate with vendors for project turnover and closeout.
• Lead negotiations and evaluate bids/proposals with accuracy.
• Create project scope documents and requests for proposals.
• Manage capital requests, change orders, and invoicing.
• Direct initiatives to improve data centre resiliency.
• Review electrical and mechanical designs for new or upgraded centres.
• Review submittals and ensure quality control and commissioning plans.
