Job description

The role is responsible for producing the master blueprint of all the company’s business and technical data assets, developing and maintain enterprise data models (conceptual) including integrations and lineage in the context of the various end-to-end processes for the enterprise. It is responsible for designing data management structure, establishing technical quality controls, security and optimization across the lifecycle of data.

Data Architecture Planning, Design, Analysis & Delivery

• Understands business drivers and capabilities (future and current state), as well as end-to-end processes, to determine corresponding enterprise data designs and change requirements.
• Formulates, develops, establishes and manages the data architecture management principles, strategies, processes and procedures.
• Performs identification, evaluation, and selection of architecture design, roadmap of potential technologies associated to the overall Enterprise Data Management initiatives of the company. These include but not limited to enterprise data catalog, master and metadata management, data warehousing/business intelligence, data quality, data integration, extraction/transformation/load (ETL), data cleansing and processing tools, bigdata, machine learning/artificial intelligence, data visualization, new generation databases. (e.g. Meralco Data Platform (MDP).
• Reviews and evaluates high-level and low-level solution and integration designs of information systems and ensure that principles and guidelines in terms of enterprise information and data architecture are followed.
• Assists in designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise data architecture compliance of projects and products.
• Performs and manages the data architecture design compliance review and audit across the lifecycle of a project from RFP development up to project implementation to ensure compliance to approved architecture and technology standards.
• Manages the centralization and monitoring of R&D, Proof-of-Concept (POC), and Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) initiatives with ICT to ensure alignment and consistency to the overall roadmap and plans.
• Manages Technology Standards from its development, periodic review, trend monitoring and scanning, POC and evaluation, periodic release, and creation of programs and projects to implement the changes (invest, maintain, contain, disinvest).
