Job summary

Optum, a UnitedHealth Group Company in the Philippines, seeks a data analyst/data engineer to turn complex health data into actionable insights. You will design data pipelines, perform analyses, and contribute to risk adjustment data workflows in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, Tableau and Power BI skills, plus clear communication and the ability to translate business questions into scalable data solutions that improve healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Clinical Data Analyst, or Healthcare Analyst.
• Expertise in BI, databases, ETL processes, data pipelines, SQL, Python, and analytical best practices.
• Deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA risk adjustment programs.
• Advanced knowledge of Tableau and Power BI.
• Advanced to expert proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Data Engineering & Analytics
• Healthcare Risk Adjustment & Health Plan Data
• Application-Level Analysis & Troubleshooting
• Be able to identify root causes of system, data, and workflow issues; recommend corrective actions; and collaborate with technical teams to ensure timely resolution
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Clinical Data Analyst, or Healthcare Analyst
• Expertise in business intelligence, databases, ETL processes, data pipelines, SQL, Python, and analytical best practices to ensure reliable and scalable data solutions
• Deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA Commercial risk adjustment programs to ensure accurate interpretation, reporting, and application of industry specific data
• Advanced knowledge on Tableau and Power BI
• Advanced to expert proficiency in SQL
• Advanced to expert proficiency in Python
• Proven solid mastery of Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills
