DataIQ is a data and business applications consultancy operating across Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Our Business Applications practice delivers Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions for clients in supply chain, distribution and logistics.

We're building our Philippines delivery team, and this role is part of it. You'll work as a full member of the delivery team alongside colleagues in Sydney.

About the role

The D365 Consultant is the Dynamics 365 specialist within DataIQ's Business Applications pods, owning the configuration and delivery of our clients' Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management environments. This role takes a solution end to end — configuration, data migration, integration, testing and cutover — and then owns it in support.

Advanced Warehouse Management is central to this role. The consultant owns the warehousing solution in full: storage and tracking dimensions, location profiles, work templates, location directives, wave and replenishment strategies, and the mobile device flows the warehouse floor runs on.

A common theme across our clients is rationalising separate systems into D365, so data and integration work is central to this role rather than a side task. Our clients span sectors including manufacturing and FMCG, giving exposure to complex, real-world supply chain and data challenges.

This is a configuration role. Where custom development is required, the consultant produces the specification and works with our development team to deliver it.

Key Responsibilities

Dynamics 365

Own the end-to-end configuration of Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management across Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Sales & Marketing and Master Planning.

Configure Advanced Warehouse Management in full — storage and tracking dimension groups, reservation hierarchies, location profiles and zones, work classes and pools, work templates, location directives, wave and replenishment strategies, and mobile device menu items.

Own the Data Management Framework work — data entities, imports and exports, migration mapping, reconciliation, and configuration data movement between environments.

Migrate and integrate data into WHS-enabled warehouses, including released products and their dimension groups, warehouse locations, and on-hand inventory with license plates, batch and serial tracking and inventory status.

Specify, configure and test integrations between D365 F&SCM and external systems (REST APIs, custom connectors, Azure integration patterns, scanners, label printers and material handling equipment).

Support the Dataverse-to-Fabric extraction and handoff so the DataIQ data-engineering team can consume D365 data downstream for warehousing and reporting.

Manage environments and ALM (deployments, configuration promotion, release governance via Lifecycle Services and Azure DevOps).

Own testing and cutover — test scripts, RSAT regression suites, UAT support, defect triage, data load sequencing and go-live execution.

Provide Level 2/3 support, including for month-end, peak trading and critical processes.

Document configuration, solution designs and data flows, and maintain the team's knowledge-continuity standard.

Work closely with your team and business stakeholders to understand operational and data needs and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Collaborate within the team on client-facing engagements, contributing to solution design, configuration and delivery.

Participate in sprint planning, standups and retrospectives.

Deliver key user and warehouse floor training and provide clear handover documentation.

Provide clear documentation of configuration decisions, data flows and system architecture.

Stay current with the Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management roadmap and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.

Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, reduce manual effort and increase automation.

Contribute to the growth of the Dynamics 365 practice through knowledge sharing.

Skills & Experience

5+ years hands-on D365 F&SCM configuration experience, across at least two full implementation lifecycles.

Demonstrable Advanced Warehouse Management configuration depth — work templates, location directives, wave and replenishment strategies, mobile device menu items, location profiles and license plate handling.

Strong configuration capability across Inventory Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Sales & Marketing and Master Planning, and a working understanding of the finance touchpoints.

Proven Data Management Framework experience — data entities, migration mapping, staging error resolution and reconciliation.

Practical data migration experience from legacy systems, including field-level mapping, cleansing and reconciliation across repeated load cycles.

Working knowledge of D365 integration patterns (REST APIs, custom services, Azure integration patterns), sufficient to specify, configure and test interfaces and to brief developers clearly.

Working knowledge of ALM/DevOps for D365 (Lifecycle Services, environment management, deployments, release governance).

Working SQL for data profiling, validation and reconciliation.

MB-300 and MB-330 certification, or equivalent experience.

MB-335 (Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Expert) certification.

Understanding of the Dataverse/Synapse/Fabric data path for D365, or strong adjacent data-integration experience and willingness to own it.

Ability to read and reason about existing X++ customisations.

Power Platform extension experience (Power Automate, custom connectors).

Material handling equipment, scanner and label printing integration

Transportation Management, or production control with advanced warehousing.

Experience migrating from a bespoke in-house .NET ERP or WMS.

FMCG or manufacturing sector experience.

Experience working within Australian or offshore-to-onshore delivery models.

Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to adapt communication to technical and non-technical audiences.

Participation in a rostered out-of-hours and weekend support roster (month-end, cutover and critical incidents), shared fairly across the team.

Some domestic and international travel may be required from time to time.

The role involves occasional work outside standard hours to support project delivery or incident resolution.

Other reasonable duties as determined by management from time to time.
