Job summary

GCash, a leading FinTech company in the Philippines, seeks a Product Owner to define the product vision and manage the development process. You will create feature sets and user stories, collaborate with stakeholders, and prioritize the backlog in sprint planning.

You will lead cyber security and fraud readiness efforts, oversee vendor assessments, participate in cross-functional meetings, and drive post-launch improvements to maximize product value.

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Owner or similar role in fintech preferred.
• Ability to define product vision and manage development lifecycle.
• Experience creating feature sets and user stories.
• Knowledge of cyber security and fraud solutions is a plus.
• Experience with RFP/RFI and vendor selection processes.
• Strong stakeholder coordination and agile ceremonies.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• The Product Owner reports to the Product Management Head and is responsible for defining the product vision and managing the product development process.
• Creates the feature sets, business and user stories needed for the product
• Consults relevant teams and stakeholders to come up with design and product specification document
• Communicates product/program vision and intent to all applicable stakeholders
• Decides on the prioritization of the delivery team for the appropriate sprint together with the Scrum Master and grooms the product backlogs, breaking down epics and estimating user stories
• Conducts research to identify Cyber Security and Fraud solutions
• Leads the vendor selection assessment process including POC, RFI/RFP and vendor discussions
• Participates in meetings that involve internal and external tribe members such as but not limited to POC, RFP/RFI, Daily Stand Up, Design Sessions, Triage Meetings, etc.
• Works on the readiness activities within Cyber Security and Fraud Management Team
• Manages post launch activities such as but not limited to Post Mortem, Production Issue Resolution, Demand Back logs, Sprint Reviews and Retrospective, product operationalization, benefits realization, etc.
• Identifies additional features to fix product issues/defects, enhance product capabilities and identify other areas for improvement.
• Constantly checks product value to ensure that product is effective, maximized and optimized.
