Job summary

VBP in Cebu City, Philippines is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, analyse and respond to security threats across systems, networks and applications. You will support operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and ISMS activities while improving security controls.

The role requires hands-on experience with security monitoring tools, incident handling and risk awareness. On-site position with standard working hours, plus the opportunity to contribute to security awareness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cyber security, information technology, computer science, information systems or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, GIAC GSEC, ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation or equivalent are desirable.
• Experience in cyber security operations, information security, infrastructure, networking or a related technical role.
• Experience with security monitoring technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, email security and cloud security tools.
• Knowledge of incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence and security investigation techniques.
• Understanding of information security governance, risk, compliance, control assurance and Information Security Management Systems.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, Essential Eight, the Australian Government ISM and the NIST CSF.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to manage priorities during security incidents.

Overview of the Role

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analysing and responding to cyber security threats and vulnerabilities affecting the organisation’s systems, networks, applications and information.

The position supports security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, information security risk and compliance activities, and the ongoing maintenance and continual improvement of the organisation’s Information Security Management System.

• Strong analytical, documentation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and exercise sound judgement during security incidents.
