Cyber Security Analyst

Overview

The Cyber Security Analyst will be critical in safeguarding the organization’s digital assets and information against cyber threats and attacks. Your expertise will be pivotal in assessing security risks, developing and implementing effective security measures, and maintaining a vigilant stance against potential breaches to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Threat Analysis and Monitoring: Identify and analyze potential security threats by monitoring system logs, network traffic, and security tools; stay updated on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Incident Response: Respond swiftly to security incidents, investigate breaches, and provide timely resolutions. Develop incident-response plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate and recover from reported security breaches.
• Conduct assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications; develop strategies for remediating vulnerabilities and minimizing potential risks.

Minimum Hiring Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; college-level with related coursework in information technology and computer science, with 1 year minimum experience.
• Fundamental log analysis and troubleshooting analysis skills; strong understanding of networking protocols and operating systems; able to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to evolving cyber threats.
• Excellent communication skills — able to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advantageous to have: technical certifications in relevant areas such as CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, MCP and MCTS, LINUX+, CompTIA Security+ (advantage only).
• At least 50 Mbps internet connection (good working-space is required).
