Responsibilities

• Receiving payments by cash, card, or other payment methods.
• Issuing receipts and giving customers the correct change.
• Greeting customers and providing polite, helpful service.
• Scanning items and entering prices accurately.
• Handling refunds, exchanges, and discounts according to company policy.
• Keeping the cash register and checkout area clean and organized.
• Counting cash at the beginning and/or end of a shift.
• Reporting cash shortages, overages, or suspicious transactions.
• Answering customer questions or directing them to the appropriate staff.
• Following security, safety, and company procedures.
