Job summary

Databricks is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer in the Philippines. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver production-grade data/AI solutions for customers. The role requires 4+ years in data engineering or software engineering, strong Spark and cloud experience, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Experience with distributed data systems and Spark runtime internals.
• Ability to design end-to-end architectures for data pipelines and ML/AI apps.
• Strong communication for working with enterprise clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) with at least one deep expertise.
• Hands-on coding in Python/Scala/JS and modern frameworks, with CI/CD for production.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade delivery including reference architectures and data ingestion.
• Drive end-to-end design, build and deployment of data/AI applications.
• Guide customer architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to ensure timely delivery and feedback.
• Embed with customer teams to deeply understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Develop accelerators and reusable assets to scale impact across accounts.
