Job summary

Archipelago Design Ventures Inc. is seeking a Creative Designer for furniture customization to develop innovative, client-driven concepts. You will create sketches, 2D/3D drawings, and renderings, coordinating with clients, sales, production, and project teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.

The role demands knowledge of materials and finishes, plus the ability to adapt designs from client feedback while meeting quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Experience in custom furniture design or furniture manufacturing is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software, or similar design tools.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to interpret client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and customized furniture designs based on client requirements.
• Create sketches, 2D/3D drawings, renderings, and design presentations.
• Collaborate with clients, sales teams, production, and project teams.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, colors, and furniture details.
• Modify designs based on client feedback and production requirements.
• Prepare accurate measurements, specifications, and technical details.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are properly executed.
• Conduct site visits and measurements when required.
• Ensure designs are aesthetically appealing, functional, durable, and cost-effective.
• Stay updated on current furniture, interior, and design trends.
• Assist in preparing quotations and material specifications when needed.
• Perform other design-related tasks assigned by management.
