Responsibilities

• Receive payments through cash, checks, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Count cash in the drawer at the beginning of each shift and ensure adequate change is available.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and orderly checkout/counter area.
• Address and resolve customer complaints appropriately.
• Answer customers' questions and provide information regarding procedures and company policies.
• Cash checks for customers, when applicable.
• Weigh items sold by weight and accurately determine prices.
• Calculate total payments received during a specific period and reconcile them with total sales.
• Compute and record transaction totals accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
