Job summary

Trax Inc. provides cloud-based solutions to automate freight invoice auditing and payment processing for buyers and sellers in logistics. The Cost Allocation Architect designs and tests business rules to map logistics charges to the client’s ERP systems.

The role sits at the intersection of logistics, financial data modeling, and enterprise systems integration, translating complex client cost structures into auditable allocation logic and clear functional designs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical consulting or business analysis within logistics or freight audit.
  • Hands-on with ERP financial modules (SAP FI/CO, Oracle Financials, MS Dynamics, NetSuite) and GL posting.
  • Knowledge of freight invoice types and logistics cost management.
  • Bachelor's degree; certifications (CPA/CBAP/CCBA/PMI-PBA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery workshops with client finance, supply chain, and IT to gather cost allocation requirements.
  • Document current and future state processes and translate input into testable specs.
  • Design end-to-end cost allocation architectures mapping charges to GL accounts.
  • Perform QA and error analysis on allocation rules and document improvements.
  • Configure and develop business rules to automate routing and apportionment of costs.
  • Conduct gap analyses to close gaps between client processes and platform capabilities.
  • Design and execute testing plans (unit, integration, UAT) across scenarios.
  • Create functional design documents, data mappings, and requirements artifacts.
