Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Cost Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting team and help monitor costs, analyze financial performance, and support management in making informed business decisions.

You will manage standard and actual costs for products, materials, labor, and overhead; prepare cost reports and variances; review inventory costing; assist with month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis; collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Finance to identify

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 2–5 years cost accounting or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and inventory practices.
• Analytical with strong numerical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient Excel and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor standard and actual costs for products, materials, labor, and overhead.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports and cost variances.
• Monitor inventory valuation and reconcile inventory records.
• Review raw materials, WIP, and finished goods costing.
• Support month-end closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Analyze product costs, COGS, and gross margins.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance teams.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate cost and inventory documentation.
