Technolux Equipment & Supply Corporation is seeking a Clinic Officer to manage the company clinic, provide emergency and preventive care, maintain medical records, and coordinate health programs for employees. The role includes inventory, health education, and liaison with HR and admin for wellness and insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency and palliative care and treatment to employees such as first aid treatment, checking vital signs and dispensing of medicines.
• Assesses health status of employees which includes giving of recommendations to be sent home or fit to work after sick leave.
• Coordinates any work-related injuries/illnesses to Building Administration Department for immediate investigation and corrective actions.
• Refers or transports sick/injured employees to the hospital if necessary; waits for the arrival of family member before leaving the employee.
• Updates and maintains medical records of all employees with strict confidentiality.
• Ensures availability and conducts monthly inventory of medicines and medical supplies; prepares purchase requisition of the necessary supplies to ensure availability at all times.
• Conducts first aid training, health advisory & health education programs among employees.
• Ensures that the company is up to date with public health and employment safety laws.
• Prepares medical notices to be posted in the bulletin boards.
• Prepares monthly medical report.
• Implements immunization program to employees.
• Schedules Annual Physical Examination (APE), monitors attendance of employees for APE, assesses and collates APE result and monitors recommendation and follow through until illness is cleared.
• Prepares annual APE result summary.
• Visits hospitalized employees, conducts home visit of sick employees and employee who gave birth.
• In charge of purchase of fruit basket for the employee during hospital or home visit.
• Inquires and monitors condition of sick employee by preparing a report from the onset of sickness until full recovery.
• Provides regular update on the condition of the sick employee to the following: a. Employee’s immediate head b. Employee’s department head c. HRD & Administration Manager
• In charge of routing solicitation for employees requiring financial assistance due to medical condition or natural calamities.
• Checks and monitors medicine subsidy of employees.
• Reviews and monitors eyeglasses subsidy.
• Discusses benefits and rates of current health care provider to newly regularized employees who want to enroll their dependents and before annual renewal of health care provider.
• Monitors completion of pre-employment requirements of applicants. Makes follow ups as necessary; performs health counseling on the result of pre-employment medical to the newly hired employees on their first day.
• Processes annual enrollment of employees and dependents to the health care provider and life insurance company; ensures that all regular employees are enrolled in the medical and group life insurance.
• Orients employees on medical and life insurance claims, monitors submission of requirements and forwards the same to corresponding agency. This includes pre-employment medical examination reimbursement, death claims, and other medical claims.
• Releases health cards of employees and their dependents; monitors receipt and completion of new health cards.
• Attends all company sponsored sports events and recreational activities.
• Maintains the sanitation of the clinic and keeps medicines and equipment organized.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
