Job summary

Citi is seeking a Corporate Credit Analyst II within Institutional Credit Management to assess, underwrite, and monitor credit risk for major institutional clients across Hong Kong and Taiwan. You will produce robust credit analyses, memos, and stress tests, supporting credit decisions in collaboration with regional risk and business teams.

Qualifications

  • Two to five years of relevant experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or a related risk function.
  • Experience conducting end-to-end credit analysis, including financial spreading, industry analysis, and credit memo writing.
  • Experience managing or supporting large corporate portfolios, including major conglomerates.
  • Working knowledge of global credit risk management standards and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end credit analysis and underwriting for a portfolio of corporate and public sector clients across Hong Kong and Taiwan.
  • Prepare annual reviews, quarterly reviews, and ad-hoc transaction assessments to support ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Draft complete and accurate Credit Approval Memo packages that support timely credit decisions.
  • Perform financial spreading, projection modeling, and stress testing to evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
  • Analyze industry trends and market conditions to inform credit assessments for large corporate and public sector clients, including major conglomerates.
  • Assess risk ratings and evaluate financing and product structures to support sound credit decisions.
  • Collaborate with banking, risk, and control functions to manage stakeholder relationships and address portfolio and industry reviews.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects within the Credit Underwriting organization.

Job description

Join Citi's Institutional Credit Management team as a Corporate Credit Analyst II and play a direct role in assessing, underwriting, and monitoring credit risk for major institutional clients across Hong Kong and Taiwan. This role sits within the Credit Underwriting function, providing end-to-end credit analysis and approval support for corporate and public sector relationships spanning corporate banking, services, and markets. You will manage a portfolio that includes large corporate conglomerates and public sector entities, working closely with regional risk and business teams to deliver well-reasoned credit assessments that support Citi's institutional franchise.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or a related risk function.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting end-to-end credit analysis, including financial spreading, industry analysis, and credit memo writing.
  • Experience managing or supporting large corporate portfolios, including major conglomerates.
  • Working knowledge of global credit risk management standards and practices.
  • Ability to assess financial and industry data to form sound credit judgments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
