Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a leading organisation in the Information Technology industry to hire a Corporate Affairs Head. This opportunity is based in BGC, Taguig. Our client operates within the digital gaming and entertainment sector and is seeking an accomplished communications and stakeholder engagement leader to drive corporate positioning, regulatory engagement, and reputation management initiatives.
Position Overview
The Corporate Affairs Head will lead the organisation's external communications, government relations, and reputation management strategy within a highly regulated industry environment. This role plays a critical part in shaping public perception, maintaining regulatory alignment, and advising senior leadership on external affairs and strategic stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Government and Regulatory Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with PAGCOR, relevant government agencies, and industry associations, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and supporting the company's regulatory standing and public policy engagement.
- Corporate Communications Strategy: Develop and lead the company's external communications strategy, including media relations, executive visibility, corporate positioning, and brand messaging across relevant channels.
- Crisis and Reputation Management: Establish and implement crisis communications protocols, proactively managing reputational risks arising from regulatory scrutiny, negative media coverage, and public controversies related to the iGaming industry.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media organisations, and industry publications to support accurate, consistent, and strategic media coverage.
- Regulatory Communications and Compliance: Collaborate closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure public statements, corporate communications, and regulatory-facing materials align with applicable PAGCOR requirements and licensing obligations.
- Executive Communications: Prepare speeches, public statements, executive briefings, internal communications, and other materials for senior leadership.
- External Representation: Represent the company at industry events, regulatory consultations, public forums, and other stakeholder engagements as required.
- Strategic Advisory: Advise senior leadership on reputational risks, emerging public policy developments, regulatory changes, and external issues affecting the Philippine iGaming sector.
- Function Development: Build and strengthen the Corporate Affairs and Communications function, including establishing processes, defining team structures, and managing external partners such as PR agencies and media monitoring providers.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10-12 years of experience in corporate affairs, public relations, government relations, corporate communications, or a related field, with at least five years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience working within regulated or highly scrutinised industries, such as gaming, financial services, telecommunications, or related sectors.
- Established relationships with, or a proven ability to engage effectively with, Philippine regulatory agencies, government stakeholders, and industry associations.
- Proven track record in crisis communications, reputation management, and navigating sensitive public or regulatory issues under pressure.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Strong expertise in corporate communications, government relations, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in regulatory communications and compliance, particularly within regulated industries.
- Strong media relations expertise, including experience developing media networks, managing press engagement, and proactively shaping corporate narratives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino, with the ability to develop messaging for executive, regulatory, media, and public audiences.
- Experience preparing executive communications, speeches, public statements, briefings, and related materials.
- Ability to manage external agencies, including PR agencies and media monitoring providers.
