Job summary

Global Connect Technologies seeks a dedicated Controls Engineer to perform L1 commissioning at customer sites along the East Coast. You will set up IP addresses for VFDs, verify device communications to PLCs, and perform basic edits to PLCs while supporting field service activities.

The role requires experience with Rockwell PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and field commissioning in a travel-heavy environment. Expect MS Teams meetings and regular site visits to major clients as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience with Rockwell PLCs and field commissioning.
• Knowledge of IP networking for VFDs and PLCs.
• Experience with HMI and device communications.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites on schedule.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer to perform L1 commissioning in the field at various customer sites throughout the East Coast. This role involves remote I/O checks, setting up IP addresses for VFD's, verifying device communications to PLC, and performing basic edits to PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct L1 commissioning at different customer sites on the East Coast.
• Set up IP addresses for VFD's.
• Verify device communications to PLC.
• Perform basic edits to PLCs.
