Job summary

Rm Staffing Bv is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Mabalacat, Philippines. This on-site role supports mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Responsibilities include hardware installations, structured cabling, server racking, and issue troubleshooting. Candidates should have 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills, and English communication. On-site presence and own transport required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure.
• Strong cabling and fiber knowledge.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell/HP/Supermicro).
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site.
• Professional English communication.
• Data center certifications preferred (CDCP/CDCS).
• Network certifications preferred (CCNA/CompTIA Network+).
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems preferred.
• Familiarity with major colocation providers preferred.
• Proficient with standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
