Job summary

Thomson Reuters Philippines seeks a Content Description Specialist to join the Operations Content team. The role involves creating, acquiring, preparing and delivering content for products across print and digital media, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

You will perform publishing tasks and quality control, participate in content acquisition, and collaborate with the team to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of data integrity and consistency.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Strong English language skills including vocabulary, spelling, grammar.
• Excellent communication abilities with internal and external contacts.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a team.

Responsibilities

• Publish and assist in data analysis, conversion, coding, copyreading, editing, merging, rendering, loading, or validation to support publications.
• Meet deadlines and support team publishing goals.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of work products; quality control processes.
• Content acquisition, analysis of manuscripts, coding, proofreading and copy reading.

Job Description Content Specialist | Operations Content

The Content Technical Specialist participates in an Editorial or Content Operations team and assists in the creation and/or acquisition, preparation and delivery of assigned content and information for creating products and product functionality in all publication media (print or electronic).

Key Responsibilities: Publishing

Performs duties such as analyzing, keying, converting, coding, copyreading, editing, merging, rendering, loading, or validation of data. Supports team publishing goals by meeting deadlines.

Quality Control

Responsible for accuracy and completeness of work product. All work will be checked until competent process knowledge is developed.

Individual and Team Skills

Attends and participates in team meetings, prioritizes own work, and participates in the performance management process (e.g. peer reviews, self‑evaluation). Content acquisition: Duties may include acquisition of manuscripts or core content, analysis of manuscripts and electronic files, coding (mark‑up of data) and resolving coding errors, manuscript editing, compiling and editing of content, proofreading and copy reading, quality control and verification.

Required Qualifications

Strong English language skills, including college level vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and grammar and sentence structure. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and/or external contacts. Skilled in the use of personal computers and familiarity with multiple software packages, including word processing and file management applications. Ability to prioritize and stay focused while dealing with multiple assignments. Detail‑oriented with an aptitude for analysis and problem solving on an individualized level and within the context of a team environment. Ability to successfully work in a team environment. Must be a Bachelor's degree holder. Must be willing to work on any shift and shifting schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous publishing experience is a plus.
