Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Group in Laguna, Philippines seeks an engineer with at least 3 years in high-tech manufacturing to oversee cleanroom operations, contamination analysis, and risk assessment. You will utilize FTIR, SEM-EDX, LPC and analytical tools, while applying strong analytical thinking to identify contamination risks.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis software (Minitab, JMP) is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (ME / EE / ECE / ChE) and Material Science is advantageous.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in high-tech manufacturing (semiconductors/electronics/medical devices).
• Experience in cleanroom management (ISO classes), contamination failure analysis, and risk assessment.
• Advanced knowledge of FTIR, SEM-EDX, LPC and other analytical chemistry tools.
• Analytical thinking with attention to detail for contamination risks.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP).
• Willingness to work shifting schedules or extended hours to support critical line activities or investigations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any Engineering course, Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), or Chemical Engineering(ChE) and Material Science is an advantage.
• With at least 3 year relevant experience in a high-tech manufacturing industry (e.g., semiconductors, electronics, or medical devices).
• Proven experience in cleanroom management (ISO classes), contamination failure analysis, and risk assessment.
• Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in using FTIR, SEM-EDX, LPC (Liquid Particle Counters), and other analytical chemistry tools.
• Analytical Thinking: Keen and meticulous attention to detail with strong observational skills for identifying subtle contamination risks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis software (Minitab, JMP).
• Willingness to work shifting schedules or extended hours to support critical line activities or urgent failure investigations.
