Job summary

Empower Annuity Insurance Company of America is seeking an Implementation Consultant to drive the successful installation of retirement plan sales. You will act as the project manager and primary contact for plan sponsors, financial advisors, and third-party administrators.

You will coordinate kickoff calls, discuss contracts, review plan provisions, and manage timelines to ensure accurate conversions and data transfers. Overnight hours may be required during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years implementation or related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be available to work overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Empower contact to manage the installation of standard/non-complex retirement plan sales.
• Lead weekly conference calls with plan sponsors, financial advisors, and third-party administrators.
• Discuss service agreements, contracts and product features with stakeholders for clarity.
• Review plan provisions with plans electing internal compliance services.
• Coordinate payroll file/mapping integration with the plan sponsor to Empower.
• Facilitate transfer of plan assets/records through written and verbal communication.
• Maintain deadlines and timelines for transfer and startup activities.
• Produce quality work on assigned sales with QA measures.
• Follow procedures to minimize market risks and mitigate losses.
• Transition plans from blackout to ongoing Client Service Manager.
• Work extended hours during peak seasons or high volume.

The Implementation Consultant is responsible for the successful installation of new retirement plan sales, acting as the project manager and consultant for conversion activities. The Implementation Consultant will also act as the point of contact with plan sponsors, financial advisors and third-party administrators.

What you will do

• Act as the primary contact for Empower to manage the successful installation of standard/non-complex new transfer or start-up retirement plan sales
• Perform weekly conference calls on assigned sales and consult with various client contacts including plan sponsors, financial advisors, third party administrators, relationship/client service managers, regional sales directors, prior providers, payroll vendors and various internal departments with respect to the timing of conversion, outstanding items, critical tasks and overall project management
• Discuss service agreements, contracts and product features with plan sponsors, financial advisors and third-party administrators for suitability and comprehension of administrative duties
• Review plan provisions with plans electing internal compliance services to ensure accurate restatement of retirement plan documents
• Coordinate the integration and mapping of payroll files/methods with the plan sponsor to Empower
• Facilitate the transfer of plan assets and records through written and verbal communication with prior providers, client contacts and various internal departments
• Maintain established internal deadlines and timelines associated with transfer and start-up plan activity
• Produce quality work on assigned sales through various quality assurance measures
• Follow established procedures designed to minimize market risks and gain/loss situations
• Transition plans timely from blackout release to the on-going Client Service Manager
• Work extended hours and overtime during peak seasons or high volume

What you will bring
