Job summary

WHR Global Consulting is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site construction for a coal-fired thermal power project in Cebu. The candidate will oversee all site activities, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, cost control, and quality across major systems including coal handling, boiler, turbine-generator, BOP, ash handling, and switchyard.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in large industrial or power plant construction, with at least 8 years in senior roles and proven EPC/EPCM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical).
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• At least fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience in large industrial or power plant construction.
• At least eight (8) years in senior construction roles on coal-fired plant projects.
• Has proven experience working in EPC/EPCM environments for utility-scale plant projects.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

The Construction Manager is responsible for leading and controlling all site construction activities for coal-fired thermal power plant projects, ensuring safe, timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution. The role oversees construction of major plant systems including coal handling, boiler & auxiliaries, turbine-generator, balance of plant (BOP), ash handling, flue gas treatment systems, and switchyard, while ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical). Master’s Degree is an advantage.
