Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Compliance Assurance Manager for its Global Compliance Internal Testing (GCIT) program. You will lead end-to-end assurance testing across regulatory domains, manage a team of analysts, and work with Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Risk to strengthen the company's control environment.

The role emphasizes design and execution of test plans, remediation of control gaps, and ongoing refinement of testing templates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk, or related discipline—or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in compliance assurance, internal audit, risk testing, or regulatory consulting in financial services or fintech.
• Experience directly managing and developing team members, including performance feedback and coaching
• Working knowledge of regulatory domains such as AML/CTF, OFAC/sanctions, consumer protection, safeguarding, and transaction monitoring
• Experience managing testing engagements from planning through reporting
• Ability to identify and communicate control gaps clearly to stakeholders
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple engagements at once

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end assurance testing engagements within one or more compliance domains
• Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of analysts, including performance management and career development
• Design and execute test plans that assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls
• Identify, document, and validate control gaps and findings, partnering with process owners on remediation
• Apply and help refine the testing methodology and templates used across the team
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to scope testing and communicate results
• Present testing results and findings in internal review and compliance forums
