Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing; must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
• At least 1 year related work experience preferred; fresh graduates may be considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training.
• Customer service training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patients correctly using two patient identifiers.
• Observes policies on safe handling and administration of high-alert medications.
• Secures specimens safely and labels accurately.
• Performs 5 moments of hand hygiene as may be indicated.
• Assesses patients for risk of fall and implements fall protocols accordingly.
• Admits patients promptly based on the admission process.
• Transfers/transports patients safely to designated areas and hands him to the receiving unit.
• Delivers discharge instructions and health education to patients and relatives.
• Performs initial patient assessment and reassessment using prescribed forms.
• Provides uniform care meeting safety, comfort and hygiene needs.
• Provides specialized care for high-risk populations.
• Performs transcription and safe drug administration procedures.
• Implements infection control measures; uses PPEs; proper waste disposal.
• Responds to disaster calls appropriately.
• Operates biomedical equipment necessary for patient care.
• Performs end-of-life care per hospital protocol.
• Performs post-mortem care per hospital protocol.
• Reads back and verifies orders; endorses data for continuity of care.
• Uses ISBAR for situational briefing; reports notifiable and communicable diseases.
• Coordinates with physicians; collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Charges and replaces used supplies; observes borrowing system.
• Keeps workplace clean and organized; economizes supplies.
• Gives health education; maintains patient confidentiality.
• Attends training for professional development; participates in QMS activities.
• Performs duties aligned with hospital vision and mission.
