Job summary

One Eli Eye and Dialysis Center in Caloocan City, Metro Manila is seeking a skilled Hemodialysis Technician to join our clinical team. You will prepare dialysis equipment, monitor patients, and support nurses and nephrologists to deliver safe, dignified care.

The role requires a recognized Hemodialysis Technician certification, a valid license, and 1–2 years of haemodialysis experience. We value infection control, compassionate communication, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Hemodialysis Technician certification programme or equivalent training.
• Valid license or certification as required by regulatory authorities in the Philippines.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of practical experience in haemodialysis or clinical dialysis settings.
• Sound knowledge of haemodialysis procedures, equipment operation, and patient safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis equipment and machines according to established protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform pre-treatment assessments, including vital signs measurement and patient weight monitoring.
• Establish vascular access by cannulating arteriovenous fistulas, grafts, or central venous catheters with precision and care.
• Monitor patients throughout their dialysis treatment sessions, observing vital signs and machine parameters continuously.
• Document patient treatment data, including fluid removal, blood pressure readings, and any complications or observations.
• Maintain strict infection control and asepsis standards to prevent cross-contamination and bloodborne pathogen transmission.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to help patients cope with their treatment and renal condition.
• Assist nurses and nephrologists with clinical procedures and patient care requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dialysis equipment and treatment areas.
• Report equipment malfunctions or patient complications immediately to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
