Key Responsibilities
Transportation of Personnel and Goods
- Safely transport company staff, products, and materials to and from designated locations in a timely manner.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, products, and materials as needed.
Vehicle Maintenance
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and compliant with safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Report any mechanical issues or defects to management for repair.
Route Planning and Navigation
- Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
- Utilize GPS devices or map applications to navigate effectively.
Record Keeping
- Maintain a travel log to record work hours, travel time, and locations traveled to.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to management promptly.
Professional Conduct
- Interact with clients and staff in a professional manner, representing the company positively.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record and a valid license for the type of vehicle operated are essential.
- Experience: Proven experience as a driver, with knowledge of local roads and familiarity with vehicle maintenance.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy packages and perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers and other team members.
