Job summary

UnionBank is seeking a Collections Associate Risk Officer to support ECL/CoC forecasting and provide timely, accurate collections reports. The role focuses on portfolio cleanup through risk mitigation programs and impacts monthly CoC forecasts and P&L.

You will develop tools and dashboards for risk monitoring and collaborate with the Risk team and other units. You will generate regular and ad hoc analyses, monitor risk metrics, and support policy and process reviews under supervision,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience in collections risk, credit risk, or portfolio analytics within banking/financial services.
• Proficient in data tools and programming (R, SQL, SAS, Python) with experience in report automation, dashboarding, and risk monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert analysis and recommendations coming from credit risk perspective to the business and functional line.
• Develop tools for analysis and presentation to internal Risk team and other functional units.
• Implement and independent monitoring of risk tools and recommend new policies/processes as required.
• Develop and enhance dashboards for SME Collections Risk monitoring
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports and analyses highlighting potential risks, provide analysis and trends, and recommend actions to improve overall portfolio performance, particularly in terms of past due and NPL
• Monitor Collections risk metrics and performance
• Provide support to the Collections Risk Lead in policy, product and process reviews.
• Develop Collections policies and strategies under the guidance/supervision of the Collections Risk Lead and/or other senior team members
• Communicate with team members, Business, and supporting units to provide guidance on the execution of risk recommendations
• May be a part of projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives

About The Role

The Collections Associate Risk Officer for Consumer Secured and SME is primarily responsible for the ECL/CoC Forecasting File and providing timely, accurate, and actionable Collections reports. This role is critical as the Business is currently focused on cleaning up the portfolio through Risk Mitigation Programs. This role's out is critical for the monthly CoC forecast, and therefore, P&L of the Business. Outputs also affect the Portfolio Classification report.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in collections risk, credit risk, or portfolio analytics within banking/financial services


• Background in data analytics and forecasting experience with ability to generate actionable insights on portfolio performance


• Proficient in data tools and programming (R, SQL, SAS, Python) with experience in report automation, dashboarding, and risk monitoring
