About the Client
Our client is a global leader in digital trust, PKI, and machine identity management, helping organizations manage and secure keys, certificates, and identities across cloud, containers, and enterprise environments. As digital ecosystems grow, we enable secure, scalable, and automated cryptographic operations.
About the Role
The Senior NOC Engineer provides advanced operational monitoring, triage, coordination, and runbook execution for our client's hosted environments. This role serves as a senior technical resource within the NOC, helping ensure operational issues are identified quickly, classified accurately, escalated appropriately, and documented clearly. Senior NOC Engineers help strengthen NOC maturity by improving alert handling, refining runbooks, supporting operational reporting, mentoring less senior NOC peers, and partnering with Support and Cloud Engineering on recurring issues, incident patterns, trend analysis, and alert tuning.
What You'll Do:
Advanced Monitoring & Alert Management
- Monitors hosted environments, dashboards, service health indicators, and alert queues with strong operational judgment.
- Leads triage for higher-priority alerts and recurring operational issues.
- Ensures alerts are actionable, appropriately classified, and routed to the correct owner.
- Coordinates operational incidents across NOC, Support, and Cloud Engineering.
- Helps maintain clear ownership, communication, and escalation flow during active operational issues.
- Supports major incident response by gathering data, maintaining timelines, documenting impact, and coordinating handoffs.
Runbook Ownership & Execution
- Executes runbooks for low to moderate complexity operational issues and supports more complex runbook workflows.
- Reviews runbook gaps and recommends changes to improve clarity, accuracy, and repeatability.
- Coaches less senior NOC teammates on runbook execution, escalation judgment, and documentation quality.
Operational KPI Reporting
- Supports operational KPI reporting, including alert volume, incident patterns, ticket routing, escalation trends, runbook execution, and recurring issue identification.
- Contributes to trend analysis and alert tuning efforts with Cloud Engineering accountability where applicable.
- Identifies opportunities to improve NOC effectiveness, reduce noise, and improve incident response consistency.
Maintenance & Change Monitoring
- Provides senior operational oversight during maintenance windows.
- Coordinates monitoring coverage, escalation paths, and handoff expectations during planned work.
- Documents maintenance observations, unexpected alerts, customer-impacting indicators, and follow-up actions.
- Team Enablement
- Provides guidance and support to Associate NOC Engineers and NOC Engineers.
- Promotes consistent documentation, handoff quality, ticket accuracy, and process adherence.
- Participates in process improvement discussions with the NOC Manager, Support, and Cloud Engineering.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in NOC operations, with a strong background in cloud operations, infrastructure administration, systems engineering, or related technical functions.

- Practical experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server environments beyond basic Active Directory user and group administration.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure or application monitoring platforms, preferably Datadog or Azure Monitor, including configuring, implementing, and tuning alerts and alerting policies.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure components, virtual machines, resource utilization, operating systems, networking, service availability, and infrastructure health monitoring.
- Ability to independently investigate and troubleshoot operational issues using a structured approach, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate escalations when necessary.
- Experience reading, writing, and modifying scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash for operational tasks.
- Experience developing or maintaining operational runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, scripts, or automated remediation workflows.
- Strong understanding of incident management, alert response, escalation procedures, service delivery, and operational documentation.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify recurring issues and recommend operational improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Support, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, and other technical teams while maintaining ownership of assigned issues.
