Talkpush is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, automation, security, and cost optimization in a hybrid, night-shift friendly setup based in Metro Manila.
You will collaborate with architects, developers, and data teams to deploy GKE, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and other GCP services, build CI/CD pipelines, and document configurations.
The Cloud Engineer plays a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions and infrastructure within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is essential for organizations looking to leverage GCP services to optimize their cloud operations and meet business objectives.
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions in GCP. Create infrastructure as code (IAC) templates for provisioning resources using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
Provision and manage virtual machines, storage, and networking resources within GCP. Implement auto-scaling solutions to adapt to changing workloads.
Implement and maintain security measures and access controls to protect cloud resources. Ensure compliance with security standards and industry-specific regulations.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows for routine tasks and resource management. Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for cloud-based applications
Monitor the performance, availability, and cost of cloud resources. Identify and resolve issues and optimize resource utilization
Integrate various GCP services, such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Google BigQuery, Google Pub/Sub, etc., to build comprehensive cloud solutions
Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity
Create and maintain documentation of cloud configurations, operational procedures, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand technical requirements and provide support.
